Ke$ha Discusses Her Cock-Rock Ambitions and Getting Tattooed by a Crackhead
Ke$ha is a refreshingly candid pop star. Whereas some starlets are very on-message in interviews, she isn't afraid to admit potentially embarrassing details about her life, or playfully discuss her plans for the future. Here's a few of the best bits from Austin Scaggs' Q&A with the singer in thelatest issue of Rolling Stone (subscription only).
Ke$ha on her winter vacation: "I went scuba diving with a bunch of sea creatures -- angelfish, sea turtles, stingrays, barracuda and a hammerhead shark -- on a boat with a bunch of grizzly bearded dudes. I got a tattoo of a feather on my foot from a crackhead."
Ke$ha on sneaking into concerts: "I snuck into a Strokes show and lost a shoe, but I got in there. I snuck into Coachella four years running. One year I ended up onstage with I always wear flat boots so I can climb." Ke$ha on her ambition as a lyricist: "I want to make it my personal mission to utilize words that most people would think are potentially inappropriate." Ke$ha on her plan for the future: "I'm gravitating toward making a solid cock-rock record next." Ke$ha on her new house: "There are foxes in my front yard, and it looks like a pirate ship inside, and the pool has laser beams in it."

Ye’ and Jay are doing big things for their new joint album:
Kanye West and Jay-Z have been recording together in high style at the Mercer Hotel this week. The artists have been working together on an album, “Watch the Throne,” to be released in the summer.
A spy reports, “They took over at least one whole floor and moved in their equipment, which may have annoyed some of the guests.” Of working with West, Jay-Z recently said, “This is another level of recording . . . really, he’s like a brother to me — I’ve seen him from the beginning to where he is now . . . how he’s growing as a producer and as an artist, for me, on another level, it’s enjoyable.”
