According to Glee co-creator Ryan Murphy,Lady Gaga's forthcoming single "Born This Way" will be performed in an episode of the show that will air sometime in March or April. Lady Gaga is set to debut the song, the title track of her next album, at the Grammy Awards ceremony in February.
"Born This Way," which Murphy describes as an anthem, will be featured in an episode focused on Dave Karofsky, a character who bullied a gay student earlier in the season. Murphy was a bit vague on the details, but he promisedEntertainment Weekly that there will be a "happy ending" for the character.
In other Glee news, the show will soon feature its first-ever performance of a Justin Bieber tune. The specific song has yet to be announced, but it is confirmed that cast member Chord Overstreet will sing it to his girlfriend in an episode slated to debut in the spring.
There were some rumors last week that an entire Bieber-centric episode was in the works, butMurphy says that the teen idol simply doesn't have enough material to merit a full episode, which are "reserved for artists with big catalogs" such as Madonna and Britney Spears.
