After all the teases and tiny tidbits of info about Lady Gaga’s upcoming LP Born This Way (due out May 23), the Grammy-nominated songstress said today that she’ll be giving the first small preview of the album this week, via a remixed track that will play at Thierry Mugler’s Paris fashion show on Wednesday (January 19). “I’m the musical director for the MUGLER fashion show. I’m remixing/previewing a record onBorn This Way, tailored for the show + garments,” Gaga tweeted this morning.
And if you’re wondering how this meeting of creative minds came about, the Los Angeles Times notes that the menswear show in the City Of Lights will mark the debut of Thierry Mugler’s new creative director Nicola Formichetti, the designer of Lady Gaga’s MTV VMAs meat dress (aka the garment that shocked and/or gagged millions of viewers).
Meanwhile, yesterday Gaga tweeted a photo of her two 2010 Grammy awards, which apparently had just been delivered to her home. (Who knew engraving was such a long process?)
Gaga picked up the awards for Best Electronic/Dance Album (The Fame) and Best Dance Recording (”Poker Face”) last winter. “Look what just arrived from last year! My dad put them on the piano I studied on for 14yrs,” she tweeted on Sunday.
The 24-year-old Polaroid collaborator is up for six Grammys next month, including Album Of The Year (The Fame Monster) and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance for “Bad Romance.”
The Grammys will be televised on Sunday, February 13.
